Arden Trust Company (Arden Trust), a limited purpose trust company under the ownership of Kestra Holdings, today announced the hiring of Doug Sherry, who will succeed Michael Roberts as President of the firm.

In this role, Sherry will have strategic and tactical responsibility for all fiduciary matters, the stability of platform and services, compliance, integration with Kestra Holdings, management of all branch administration, and company growth. Roberts, meanwhile, is retiring as President but will serve as President Emeritus through the end of 2021 and continue serving on Arden Trust’s board as an outside Director.

“Doug brings a wealth of managerial and operational insight to Arden Trust,” said Roberts. “We’re confident he will utilize his broad skill set to guide our firm toward continued growth, and we firmly believe he is the right person to ensure the success of Arden Trust long into the future.”

Sherry brings extensive industry experience from Fortune 500 companies and national banks, as well as a broad base of knowledge in fiduciary governance, trust and investment management, regulatory compliance, risk management, and all aspects of P&L. Additionally, he draws on more than 20 years of management experience, with a focus on improving productivity, performance, and profitability.

“I was attracted to Arden Trust because of their dedication to providing a holistic approach to client service,” said Sherry. “I’m looking forward to leveraging my targeted experience and expertise to promote the continued expansion and evolution of Arden Trust’s service and value.”

Sherry received a Bachelor of Science in administration of justice from California State University, Hayward, and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
